Jack Henry & Associates is seeking a motivated and passionate student to work in the Information and Cyber Security (ICS) Cyber Security Fusion Center. This person will partner with subject matter experts to ensure the security of company and customer electronic information by performing log monitoring and analysis to identify and triage events and suspected incidents at Jack Henry. Daily responsibilities will be focused on working out of the JH case management system, corresponding with team members, and contributing to team projects.

To find success, the selected candidate will need to be team-oriented, strongly self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced work environment while continuously improving their professional knowledge and skills. This position requires strong technical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with other technical experts and managers at all levels within the company.

This position will be filled to work remote or out of any Jack Henry office location. This opportunity will begin June 6 and run through August 12, 2022.

What you'll be responsible for:
• Learning how to perform moderately complex log reviews and forensic analysis to identify unauthorized or unacceptable access to data or systems, including either actual or attempted access. • Responding to alerts and security-related issues following defined processes. • Providing troubleshooting and support regarding cyber security related issues. • Providing support for cyber security-related projects as assigned. • Providing appropriate documentation and process improvement documentation. • Resolving escalated security cases; both individually and by partnering with assigned mentor(s). • Completes cyber security-related projects as assigned.

What you'll need to have:
• Enrolled at an accredited university or technical program with a graduation/completion date of December 2022 or May 2023. • Be able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship with minimum absences. • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentially at all times. • Meet legal requirements to work in the United State for an indefinite period of time without any sponsorship from Jack Henry.

What would be nice for you to have:
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, Cyber-Security, Software Systems, Computer Networking, or Information Science. • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer interaction skills. • Basic understanding of the FinTech industry.
