Computer Science Intern 3
Ideal opportunity for current college students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science to gain real-world experience at the Southwest Division of Applied Research Associates in Albuquerque, NM. Summer interns will have the opportunity to support conventional munition development and characterization within the Concept Development Group, performing tasks related to:
- Finite Element Analysis Model Database Development
- Development of Scripts to Manipulate Finite Element Analysis Models
- Basic Finite Element Analysis Mesh Model Development
- Post Processing of Finite Element Analysis (LS-DYNA) Simulation Results
InternRequirements:
- Must be enrolled, full-time student in Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited university, with 2 or more years completed in pursuit of a Computer Science Degree
- Experience with database design, development, and management
- Skilled in the use of one or more computer coding languages (Fortran, C++, Python, JAVA etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
InternPreferences:
- Knowledgeable and capable of working in a Linux high-performance computing environment
- Technical writing experience
