Yelp is seeking interns to work side-by-side with our passionate, hard-working Community Managers. Wait, what’s Yelp? Yelp is a website and mobile app that connects people to great local businesses. From restaurants, boutiques and salons to dentists, mechanics, plumbers and more, we believe in helping consumers make smarter and more informed decisions about where to spend their money. And who is this Community Manager I’ll be working with? Community Managers in nearly 50 Yelp communities are responsible for marketing, PR, event planning, e-newsletter campaigns, social media, and various odds and ends on the local level — but they can’t do it alone! Yelp Interns play an integral part in supporting activities designed to rally the Yelp community both online and off.

What you will learn:

• Practical experience with new media marketing techniques.
• Opportunities to shadow and spend time with the Community Manager including monthly meetings for coaching and professional development.
• Experience executing marketing events (parties, happy hours) and guerilla marketing programs (festivals, street ambushes, etc) both online and in-person
• Keeping Yelp clean with on-site projects, writing and researching.
• Online community building.
• Complete a project with your fellow interns and have the opportunity to present in front of the Community Leadership team.

What we are looking for:

• College graduate or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in the United States
• You must currently reside in Tampa Bay, have reliable transportation options, and be 21+.
• Ability to work up to 10-19 hours per week, Monday through Friday with potential for some weekend work.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Are well-organized, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate an ability to learn
• Are a creative problem-solver who also understands real-world products
• Have the constant desire to grow, learn, and explore new things and are willing to step outside of the box
• You must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be eligible for this role. Exceptions are made only where legally required.
