As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Intern on the Infrastructure Platform Team, you will be working on the next generation of infrastructure that will support Genesys's vision of our Multicloud solutions through an infrastructure-as-code approach to managing technology infrastructure. Reporting to the Sr Manager of Infrastructure Platform Engineering, you will contribute to the build out of our cloud infrastructure. You'll learn how to use Terraform, Kubernetes, and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools together with a DevOps mindset to establish automated pipelines, immutable infrastructure, and repeatable deployments of a containerized cloud ecosystem. Our team is committed to continuous learning, open communication, shared responsibility, and collaborative problem solving. This role can be filled by a fully remote intern.

What you will learn / gain

• Work on internal systems (CI/CD, Source code control & review, artifact management, etc)
• Develop experience on multiple cloud platforms and how to automate deployment on them
• Learn advanced cloud configurations and the nuances of supporting multiple applications
• Debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
• Designing, building, configuring, documenting, and deploying infrastructure and systems.
• Developing, managing, and testing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, Git, and other tools

What we'd like to see

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and operating systems
• Excellent communication skills and affinity for collaboration and teamwork
• Interested in and motivated to be part of a fast-moving fun and accomplished team

A big plus if you have

• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Openshift, Kubernetes, or Azure)
• Experience with Cloud computing toolsets - Terraform
• Experience with Linux environments and scripting
• Experience of Git, JIRA, and Jenkins
