We're looking to hire part-time undergrad and graduate students to join our team in the fall of 2021. As a Cloud Engineering intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of the company through the development of custom tooling, CI/CD workflows, building and managing AWS infrastructure (as Code), and enabling our application developers. . All interns work side-by-side with our engineers on production-level code. Additionally, all interns are paired with a mentor.
You'll be expected to have a deep understanding of CS fundamentals, and you will gain a much deeper understanding of the best engineering practices for a host of applications. You'll also have a chance to:

• Work on unique technical problems in a rare and emerging field
• Work in small teams to quickly design and build solutions to novel problems
• Work with modern technologies like Python for high-performance computing, git, Docker, Amazon Web Services (AWS), CI/CD, and more

Internship Requirements

• Experience solving problems with code
• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science or a related field with a graduation date of Fall 2021, Spring 2022, Fall 2022, Spring 2022
• Experience with one or more Object Oriented or scripting languages
• Enthusiasm and basic knowledge of Cloud Engineering and Services (specifically AWS Lambda, Fargate/ECS, Step Functions, Infrastructure as Code and Docker Containers)
• Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to our team in a meaningful way
• Strong motivation and the ability to collaborate with others

We work and build in the Cloud (specifically AWS) where services and technologies are constantly evolving. You'll be working on projects that range from build/deploy tooling to larger-scale architecture implementations. You'll be exposed to AWS services and architecture that span containers, machine learning, data processing and pipelining, and more. The Cloud Engineering team at Narrative Science specializes in delivering high-value cloud-based solutions to product and application development teams. Specifically, we are responsible for building and innovating on continuous delivery pipelines, build and deploy tooling, and seamlessly integrating cloud architecture into our applications.
