The Red Hat Products and Technologies team (PnT) is looking for a creative and passionate individual who is ready to join us as a Technical Business Co-Op student. We are looking for students that are interested in working within at least one of the following technical business areas: agile practice, business analytics, community architecture, strategy, operations, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), data analytics, partner ecosystem, compliance, and more. We are hiring for co-op cohorts, beginning in July 2022. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Work closely with members of the team to understand data and reporting needs; create, refine, and maintain reports
  • Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives; innovate and implement large-scale quality improvements to processes or systems by conducting data analysis and making recommendations
  • Understand how to make data visually appealing and simple to navigate and comprehend for end-users
  • Work with vendors, including assessors and other third party organizations
  • Create internal communications that support global awareness efforts and update the team's intranet space
  • Evaluate, deploy, and work with community leaders in adopting new community management tools


What you will bring

  • Ability to work full-time from July to December 2022
  • Currently pursuing a degree in business, data analytics, computer science, or a related field; if you have graduated, be no more than 6 months past your graduation date
  • Passion for open source and working collaboratively
  • Passion for the idea of telling data stories through visualization and dashboards
  • Good written and verbal communication skills


The following are considered a plus:

  • Knowledge of the UNIX or Linux operating system of any distribution
  • Experience with SQL, Google Apps Script, and Tableau
  • Experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, JavaScript, or Gitlab
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or other cloud platforms
