The Red Hat Cool Stuff Store is our global platform for providing promotional merchandise which amplifies our brand awareness and affinity.
The Brand Experience team is looking for a Branding and Merchandise Intern to join us to be an integral part of the team in managing processes, relationships, and systems that help operationalize and scale our store. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day special swag requests from the business, working closely with our promotional vendors, ensuring that our vendors are maintaining brand standards and adhering to our operational processes. You will provide tools and training for Red Hat associates to work with the brand correctly. In addition as a Branding and Merchandise Intern, you will collaborate with various teams within the Brand Experience team, and within the business (Events, Account and Project Management, Design, BUs, Logistics Operations, etc.) to coordinate and define processes and best practices.
The Red Hat Brand team defines our brand and protects its integrity. We maintain the strategic direction of our brand value and proposition. By educating and inspiring our fellow associates about the Red Hat brand and providing tools and training, we equip them to become effective brand champions. Our goal is to employ an insights-driven marketing approach to increase brand familiarity, awareness, relevance, and affinity among our audiences.
What you will do

  • Manage the Cool Stuff Store processes, including vendor communication, associate request triage and fulfillment, and creative projects
  • Work with the Brand Manager of Promotional
  • Manage special order requests for executives, events, associates, and communities
  • Work with global marketing teams and Red Hatters to service regional and corporate branding needs
  • Define the processes and best practices for delivering on promotional requests


What you will bring

  • Resourceful and proactive contributor with initiative
  • Solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to project manage multiple workloads and meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple requests with responsive and friendly delivery
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field; if you have graduated, be no more than 6 months past your graduation date at the start of the internship
  • Ability to work full-time May-August
  • Interest in promotional products, e-commerce sites, or experiential marketing is a plus
