What you will do
Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in Nashville, TN. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below.
How you will do it:
Understand the customer requirements in the access ctrl and video surveillance domain and translate them into technical requirements and detailed system architecture and design
- Explore large semi-structured or unstructured datasets and explore ways to stitch them to unlock insights
- Learn how we ingest, prioritize, and store data that powers AI/ML solutions
- Design and implement scalable and reliable data models for our data
- Build interactive dashboards to generate insights based on the data
What we look for
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college, technical school, or university
- Pursuing a degree in engineering or HVAC or other technical degree
- Currently a sophomore or higher status
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability.
- Be a communicator and collaborate with business partners on their data needs & design solutions
- U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- Energetic and driven attitude - you do what it takes to get the task completed
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass a background and drug screening
- Where legally permissible, as a condition of employment, you will be required on your first day of employment, to show written proof that you have been fully vaccinated Against Covid-19 or that you have a valid medical or religious reason for not receiving the vaccine.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred
- Demonstrated problem solving skills required
