What to Expect

Our 12-week paid internship program will allow you to take your academic knowledge and apply it in the business world. You will be immersed in our development process and will fully participate in our project teams to deliver real world value to Dialexa and our clients. There will also be time for fun including intern outings and company field trips. You will have the opportunity to learn, make new friends, and design products that you can be proud of. Additional things to expect:

• Fulfilling work on a client project and being a part of a Dialexa team of designers 
• A dedicated mentor who will work with you on your project and make sure you're always learning something new

• Regularly scheduled opportunities to network with our team including dedicated intern lunches with the CEO, Principals, and Dialexa leadership
• Work closely with current Dialexans to receive 1-1 advice and critiques and continue to evolve with your manager throughout the program
• Participation in regular intern outings

Duties

Your day to day duties can include but won't be limited to:

• Assist designers with creating key design documents such as personas, wireframes, and visual design concepts
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials which may include: social media images, HTML emails, print and digital one-pagers, illustrations, infographics, and swag
• Presenting, discussing, advocating, and iterating your work with the design team

Requirements

• Must show a strong desire to learn more about digital product design and design research
• Prepared portfolio and/or samples of design work that you can present
• Ability to demonstrate a strong grasp of design principles and technology trends
• Experience using common design software such as Sketch and Figma
• Must be a self-starter

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional or project experience with product design
• Base-level understanding of user research, workshop frameworks, and user testing
• Advanced knowledge of design principles and technology trends
• Intermediate experience with Figma, Adobe, etc 
• Ability to demonstrate leadership
