In this internship, you’ll:

  • Learn best practices for writing requirements
  • Create requirements for Waymo’s on-board logging and other systems
  • Work with software engineers to get the requirements implemented 
  • Design and orchestrate tests to confirm correct implementation of the requirements
  • Root cause field issues and proposing resolutions

At a minimum we’d like you to have:

  • Engineering undergrad degree (EE, CS, or similar)
  • Demonstrated previous work in reading modern C++ code
  • Demonstrated experience in working cross-functionally with communications

It’s preferred if you have:

  • Experience with a plotting tool such as gnuplot, matplotlib, etc. 
  • Openness to work on system level topics that reach outside your degree 
  • Analytical mindset with a desire to root cause issues until they are fully understood

Note: This is an fall internship position in our Mountain View office. As the situation around COVID-19 remains unclear, this may be a remote internship position.
