The Opportunity:

You will get to conduct analysis in support of Force Protection Screening and Vetting (FPSaV) teams located in Somalia targeting insider threats, foreign intelligence services, terrorist organizations and insurgent groups within the USAFRICOM AOR.
Responsbilities:

  • You will get to prepare comprehensive foreign intelligence and terrorism informational or analytical products. Deliver the products on a monthly basis, or as required by AFOSI or USAFE/AFAFRICA leadership.

  • Review and provide analyst comments for Contact Reports (CRs).Disseminate raw and finished intelligence products to interested agencies, to include: AFOSI leadership, base commanders, operating environment owners and other intelligence/counterintelligence customers (both CONUS and OCONUS) who value the direct information and intelligence products.

  • You will get to fuse intelligence and raw data from multiple sources in varying classifications to identify threats, trends, structures of terrorist cells, their location, and plotting attack information (such as fire-points, impact sites, timelines, etc.) on a weekly to daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, national security studies, African studies, international business, international terrorism, trends and analysis, intelligence/counterintelligence, or other related fields, preferably accompanied by African regional expertise;

  • Have at least eight (8) years of analytical experience utilizing HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and OSINT and experience with human-derived, counterintelligence, and counterterrorist operations, ending within the last three (3) years. These position requirements for a degree and eight (8) years of experience may not be substituted.

  • Possess six (6) years of experience in the development of intelligence analysis products (such as IIRs, Desk Notes, Threat Assessments, Source Validation Reports, etc).

  • Have experience and working knowledge of the following programs within the last three (3) years: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access); Analyst Notebook;

    SIPR/JWICS Access; Multi-Media Messenger (M3); Source Operations Management Module (SOMM); Proton – JWICS Access Required; Intellink; Combined Information Data Network Exchange (CIDNE); CIA WIRE; HOT-R; National Counter Terrorism Center Online (NCTC Online); J2 DCP Portal (CJCS Portal) on JWICS, TIDE, NGV Suite (JWICS), SOFEX/DONISIS, Harmony (JWICS), and BI2R.

  • Possess a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
