The Role

ROLE SUMMARY
The person in this role will partner with commercial teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality strategic business decision support, including investment decisions and commercial strategies and tactics.
As a member of the Integrated Insights & Strategy organization (formerly Business Analytics & Insights), this colleague will work with Marketing, Commercial Finance, Digital COEs, Chief Business Officer COEs, Advanced Analytics and Data Science teams and other analytics functions as necessary to deliver insightful analyses and recommendations that can be acted upon by the commercial organization.
The person in this role will assist to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions through data, market research and analytics, regionally (LATAM) or within countries. These analytics will include a combination of primary market research, key performance tracking, and customer data mining, among others, to fully understand, generate insights, and contribute to franchise strategy.
This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The position requires a deep understanding of data analysis, reporting, and data visualization tools, as well as the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The successful candidate will join Integrated Insights & Strategies (IIS) colleagues worldwide that are dedicated to helping to drive business through proactive thought leadership, innovative research capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Role definition and Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Market Analytics

  • Partner with key stakeholders to support the execution of market research and data analytic plans and manage the research process, regionally and within countries.
  • Apply various types of primary market research techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, to answer key business questions.
  • Lead data-driven analyses to uncover trends, identify opportunities for optimization, and recommend strategic business actions.
  • Prepare and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), business metrics, and operational performance.


Forecasting/Operating Plan Support

  • In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, support Long Range Forecast (LRF) and Operating Plan activities.
  • Ensure accurate performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business.


Insights & Strategy Support:

  • Work closely with business leaders and stakeholders to understand business challenges and objectives, providing actionable insights based on data analysis.
  • Design and conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions and support decision-making across different business functions.
  • Identify key trends and areas for improvement, presenting recommendations to senior management for process improvements or strategic initiatives.


Data Visualization & Presentation:

  • Develop compelling, easy-to-understand data visualizations and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to provide real-time insights.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with different teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations) to integrate data across various systems and develop holistic views of business performance.
  • Collaborate with data science and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity, reliability, and accessibility.


Technical Skills
Analytical & Quantitative Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and trend analysis.
  • Comfort with large datasets and experience using tools like Excel, SQL, R, or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Understand quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies.


Business Intelligence Tools:

  • Expertise in using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) to create visualizations, reports, and dashboards.
  • Ability to design interactive and insightful dashboards that communicate complex data effectively.


Data Warehousing & Databases:

  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server) and familiarity with data warehousing concepts.


Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional ability to translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and actionable business recommendations.
  • Ability to effectively present findings to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.


Project Management & Organizational Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate insights.


Problem Solving & Critical Thinking:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to tackle business challenges.
  • Ability to analyze situations, make recommendations, and take initiative to implement improvements.


Language

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).


Experience

  • +3 years of experience in business analytics, data analysis, or a related field, such as management consulting, with a demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and present insights to senior leaders.


  • Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals experience highly preferred.


  • Strong track record of supporting decision-making with data analysis in a business environment, ideally within a dynamic or fast-paced industry (e.g., retail, finance, healthcare, or technology).


  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver business insights that drive performance improvement or strategic decisions.


  • Proven experience in designing and developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.).


  • Familiarity with data management and data governance practices.


  • Experience with advanced analytics or machine learning techniques is a plus.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field is a plus but not required.
