THE MISSION:
We’re looking for a driven Instore Key Account Manager (KAM) to build lasting relationships with our retail partners in Italy. You’ll manage a portfolio of merchants, identify new growth opportunities, and use data-driven insights to maximize their success.
What You’ll Do:
- Strengthen partnerships through sales calls, business reviews, and ongoing support;
- Advise merchants on optimizing revenue and marketing using Scalapay's premium products (e.g., Affiliation, Media Packages);
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to support the growth of our brands. Yes, this means some hunting with them;
- Boost Scalapay adoption by growing merchant collaborations and co-marketing campaigns;
- Analyze data to uncover opportunities and create tailored sales presentations;
- Develop case studies and share best practices to scale account management efforts;
- Experiment with new strategies to drive revenue growth and provide weekly forecasts;
- Advocate for your merchants internally to enhance products and services;
- Attend market visits, fairs, and events to meet partners face-to-face and stay ahead of industry trends.
Who you are:
- Proven sales and negotiation expertise with a knack for growing partnerships;
- Strong business acumen and ability to upsell/cross-sell;
- Experience following structured sales processes with KPIs and measurable results;
- Data-driven, proactive, and organized approach;
- 5+ years in account management or business consulting, ideally in e-commerce;
- Fluent in Italian and English; willing to travel up to 30%.

What We Do
Scalapay is an innovative payment method which allows a customer to defer payments through 3 or 4 interest-free installments. The buy now pay later service is available in over 7.000 physical stores and in the e-stores of more than 5.000 brands. The cost of the service is totally free for the customer and is financed by a commission applied to retailers who are immediately paid for their product. Scalapays’ service has seen a 48% increase in the average order value, an increase in cart conversion, and a decrease in its abandonment rate. Over a period of three months, 65% of platform users return to the store or e-commerce they purchased from using Scalapay
