Our Practice Services department has an exciting remote opportunity in the Washington D.C., Dallas, or Columbus offices for an Innovation Analyst. Reporting directly to the senior manager of innovation, this exempt position is perfect for the tech-curious candidate with a legal background. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who enjoys a fast-paced collaborative environment, who brings an innovation skillset, and deep project analysis expertise. As an Innovation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in identifying and analyzing new opportunities to navigate the intersection of digital business, emerging technologies, and the law. You will expand your expertise engaging with AI, automation, and other emerging technologies to realize those opportunities. Innovation Analyst helps the Firm and its clients create a competitive advantage through innovative technologies and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop deep expertise on emerging trends, technologies, and market opportunities to identify potential areas for innovation.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to support the Firm's innovation goals.
- Map complex requirements to business objectives with value projections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new ideas, processes, and technologies.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of innovation initiatives and provide regular reports to management.
- Identify and assess potential risks and challenges associated with new innovations and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve our innovation strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to stay informed about new innovations and potential collaborations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. JD preferred. Law firm or legal department experience is a plus.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment preferred. Sales, consulting, or client service experience highly desired.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make strategic recommendations.
- Proven track record of success. Success in innovation or legal technology initiatives is a plus.
- Knowledge of project management principles and experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously. PM accreditation preferred. LPM accreditation is a plus.
- Passion for technology evidenced by experience consulting to implement, build or manage software. Legal solutions experience preferred. Experience building with PowerApps or no code solutions is a plus.
- Proven aptitude to learn technical applications at a power-user level and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Integrity and ability to exercise good judgment with confidential and sensitive information.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to funnel and process large amounts of information.
