The Infrastructure Engineer - Building Automation Systems will be responsible for:
- Develop and enhance Warehouse Management Systems using C++ programming.
- Participate in the daily operations of Parts Warehouse, ensuring seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Integrate, develop, and sustain automation systems, including ASRS technologies (such as Autostore, Geek Plus, GreyOrange).
- Design and develop dashboard analytics using tools like QlikView and Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.
- Lead the implementation of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic process automation initiatives to optimize warehouse operations.
- Write high-quality product or system development code, adhering to best practices and organizational standards.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate and select appropriate technologies.
- Review code developed by other team members, providing constructive feedback to ensure adherence to style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Build platforms or data pipelines to aggregate and process data from multiple sources.
- Contribute to and adapt existing documentation or educational content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work training.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in software programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, C, HTML) and serialized data formats (e.g., JSON, XML).
- Experience in systems design, architecting complex system interactions, and building data pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to develop dashboards and perform data querying.
- Experience with database or analytics code development.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
