The Informatics Liaison I works with end-users and technical groups to provide operational and technical education, support, troubleshooting, and recommendations for process or system improvements. The main goal of this role is to ensure all staff are utilizing their technology tools fully, efficiently, and accurately to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
This position is responsible for gaining advanced knowledge of the Epic application and workflow knowledge as it relates to the end users they support, including clinical and revenue cycle areas such as scheduling, registration, and referrals. The Informatics Liaison I will assist in projects and conduct end-user assessments to gain in-depth knowledge of practice and system workflows, ensuring optimal system functionality and quality patient care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of training materials in conjunction with the IS Computer Education team.
- Providing ongoing education opportunities for clinical and revenue cycle teams.
- Supporting staff by troubleshooting issues and answering questions as they arise.
- Collaborating with revenue cycle teams to optimize workflows for scheduling, registration, referrals, and related processes.
- Identifying and recommending system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy across clinical and revenue cycle operations.
- Supporting and implementing patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
- Demonstrating Family Centered Care principles in all interactions.
Schedule:
- Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud, MN
- Day shift | Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $63,752.00 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience
- Salary range: $63,752.00 - $95,638.40 per year
- Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a relevant field such as nursing, healthcare informatics, or information technology required along with clinical or IS&T experience
- 2 years of clinical experience can be permitted in lieu of education
- 2 years of clinical experience in a clinical/hospital setting required
- Previous experience in information technology and/or software preferred
- Epic proficiency and/or experience in application(s) preferred
- Ability to work in an adaptable, fast-paced, and results-driven setting
- Systems thinker with organizational skills who can pull all the pieces together and deliver on time
- Ability to present in front of and teach classes to clinical end users in classroom, group, and one-on-one settings
