The ICT department has initiated a transition towards an Agile way of working, as part of the transition towards an improved ICT Target Operating Model (TOM), the Vanderlande ICT Core department is the backbone of our ICT Department, providing infrastructure, workplace and low-code platform products to our internal organization. ICT Core contributes to high value for our business and delivering cutting-edge products.
Your role
As a Product Architect, you will be focusing on infrastructure-related products. You will help shape the architecture across Network, Cloud, and Infrastructure domains, ensuring alignment with business goals, security standards, and agile delivery practices. You will work closely with other Product architects and the System Architect to ensure technical coherence within the department and with the Enterprise Architect to align with the broader ICT architectural vision.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain the product architecture for infrastructure services, including cloud platforms, network frameworks, and hybrid environments;
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and DevOps teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions;
Lead architectural decision-making and ensure compliance with Vanderlande’s technology standards and security policies;
Facilitate continuous improvement and innovation within the product domain;
Act as a technical mentor and guide for development teams, ensuring architectural consistency and quality;
Represent the product architecture in ART-level syncs and Agile ceremonies;
What You Bring
Experience in infrastructure architecture, with knowledge of cloud (Azure, AWS, OCI), networking (Aruba, SD-WAN), and hybrid environments is a pre;
Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps principles;
Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural vision;
Experience in a multi-location, Microsoft Windows and Linux, networked environment;
Other industry standard certifications (Microsoft, HP) are a pre;
Detailed understanding of network topology design and implementation;
Some previous experience with Windows Server / Linux and VMWare virtualization platforms are a pre.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
Experience working in complex enterprise environments with cross-functional teams;
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Fluent in both English and Dutch (written and verbal);

Salary & benefits
- Competitive salary: €6.200 – €7.300 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
