We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate safety professional to support our site operations in the Weipa region, in far North Qld. Working a Fly-In-Fly-Out 14 days on and 7 days off for 11 hours per day from Cairns or Brisbane. $100K PA + super.

Whoare we looking for?  

We’d love to hear from you if you have experience in a similar role, preferably working within the facilities maintenance environment with exposure to food safety and trades occupations, and exposure to Root Cause Analysis Incident Investigation. To be successful, you’ll need: 

  • Qualification in Health and Safety (mandatory)
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desired)
  • Excellent time management and teamwork skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights
  • Current full Manual Driver’s license is mandatory to operate our site vehicles
  • Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check

Reporting to the HSE Manager East you will undertake comprehensive incident investigations and provide local support of injury management process. You will administer inductions and competency assessments, support teams with developing pre task risk assessments, lead toolbox meetings and drive company and client-driven HSE activities and programs. You will support staff to comply with HACCP and Food Safety plans and train staff according to respective requirements.
