VP, Human Resources

Job Purpose

The VP, Human Resources is an innovative leader and business partner who collaborates with the Head of Data Analytics and their senior leadership team to develop and implement our people strategy. Leveraging your people leadership, HR domain expertise, communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, and knack for encouraging teamwork, you will partner with leaders across the organization to deliver business results. In this role, you will ensure the effective delivery of the full life cycle of HR practices to attract, retain and develop our associates. This role will support our highly visible Data and Analytics organization for our growing Digital and Data Solutions business.

In this role, you will be a strong member of a forward thinking leadership team that has the right mix of recognized industry-wide leaders, seasoned functional experts and high-potential future talent and you will be part of an HR community that is working to redefine how HR adds value to our business results and is enabling that success
• Team Leadership: Leads and develops the HR team ensuring strong talent capabilities and reinforcing bench strength. Acts as a talent example and talent scout.• Talent: Partners with business leaders to ensure the organization has the talent it needs to win in the market. This includes comprehensive talent management, leadership development, workforce planning, executive level recruitment and partnership with recruitment to deliver on talent demands.• Teams: Direct ownership and thought leadership; partnering with leaders to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.• Associate Engagement: Develops deep relationships at all levels in the organization with the expectation of leveraging that understanding to enhance growth, development and opportunity.• Program Implementation: Leads the implementation of company-wide programs including Annual Compensation, Engagement, Performance, Recognition, Leadership Development, etc.• Associate Experience: Partners with COEs to ensure smooth implementation of associate services.• Change Management: Takes a leadership role in significant Fiserv and division-wide programs to ensure the appropriate change management methodology is applied.• HR Thought Leadership: As a key member of the larger HR leadership team, practically leverages external knowledge to shape and in some cases lead HR initiatives across Fiserv.

The VP-HR must have a strong track record of outstanding leadership and execution while possessing the following experiences and characteristics:
• Technology Industry: Experience working with the technology sector where development is a key component of the service profit chain.• Change Leadership: A history of influencing actionable and effective change among business leaders.• Advice: Seen as a trustworthy source of advice and counsel with experience coaching senior leaders.• Talent Management: Experience in hiring executive talent, assessing OD/OE structure, performance management, and talent development. Inspires others to stretch and challenge themselves to contribute in ways they might not otherwise think possible, invests in the development of leadership talent and bench strength that creates value for Fiserv and provides constructive feedback that pushes others to develop their leadership skills.• Strategic Leadership: Identifies the broad implications of different business models, value propositions and strategic choices, makes timely and sound business decisions in spite of ambiguity, uncertainty and short-term pressures; creates long-term value and competitive differentiation through smart solutions.• Self-Sufficient: Able to leverage support groups to scale execution but also able to personally develop practical tactical tools when the need arises.• Relationship Building: Successfully builds strong working relationships from a geographical distance.
