About the Role
We are looking for a VP of People to lead the people function here at Particle Health. Reporting to our CEO, you will work closely with the leadership as a key strategic partner as we aim to scale our distributed team in the coming months/year. You will lead and work closely with your team (currently includes Sr. Manager, Employee Engagement and Talent Acquisition Manager) to develop a strategic end-to-end talent cycle that delivers a world-class environment for our employees, including functions such as: talent acquisition, onboarding, learning & development, engagement, performance management, total rewards (compensation and benefits), career pathing, and succession planning.

Areas of Responsibility
- Lead the on-going design, development, and execution of initiatives, programs, processes, and policies that deliver a top-notch work environment and company culture, such as: new hire onboarding for both remote and on-site hires, training and development programs to improve staff skills, leadership competencies, communication, and organizational effectiveness.
- Manage a team of People & Talent professionals. Create an engaging, collaborative environment in which team members have clear goals, are inspired to deliver their best work, and are coached and developed to maximize their potential.
- Supervise administration of all compensation and total rewards, including benefit administration and renewals, vendor management (and contract negotiations), benefit program enhancements, incentive compensation, salary ranges, and payroll.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Design on Employer Branding efforts to ensure consistency across internal and external mediums.
- Own the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programming, striving for a diverse team across all departments at Particle Health, and ensuring an inclusive experience for all.
- Work with leadership to proactively create a future org design, performance management system, employee satisfaction and employer brand.
- Analyze and improve the existing recruiting strategy
- Lead Talent Acquisition strategy and recruitment initiatives; manage/mentor TAM, provide goals and monitor key SLAs/KPIs. Conduct recruitment as needed for Senior/Exec level roles.
- Manage the recruitment process (ATS, Interviews, etc.)
- Help build more effective cross-departmental collaboration and internal communications across the organization.
- Design and implement on-going improvements to talent management strategies and programs including recruitment, training and development, engagement, retention, and succession.
Qualifications:
- Passion for Particle’s mission, vision, and values.
- 10+ years of experience in People & Talent related roles; 3+ years of leadership experience; prior experience working as a Head of People strongly preferred.
- Experience building culture at rapidly growing organizations, preferably in mission-driven organizations.
- Deep knowledge of best practices in core talent / HR domains: talent acquisition, learning & development, performance management, DEI, total rewards (benefits, compensation, equity), remote culture, and HR compliance.
- Experience recruiting high quality candidates for technical and non-technical roles at growing technology companies; A tenacious attitude for finding the right candidates
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Unimpeachable integrity, self-confidence, a high level of energy and a sense of humor
- Can be remote - New York area not required
