Vice President People Operations
The VP of People Operations (HR) role will join our leadership team and report to the CEO. The ideal candidate will have experience applying organizational structure, design and behavior practices. We believe this is essential to help us sustain our customer-driven culture of cross-functional collaboration and employee engagement to achieve our goals as we rapidly grow and scale our company. This role is responsible for improving business results through changes to processes, systems, structure, and culture. This work includes the integration of talent acquisition, performance management, HR benefits, cultural branding, employee engagement and retention and compliance competencies.
This role contributes a high level of energy, empathy and consultative leadership to implement key people development strategies throughout the organization. The individual must be strategic in the sense of being able to think critically and problem-solving with a growth mindset. The candidate must also be willing to be tactical in the sense of remaining hands-on at an operational level.

What you'll be doing on our team
- This is a remote work position with the requirement to support quarterly leadership meetings and employee and customer events in our Boston office
- Partner with members of the leadership team to develop and maintain an organizational design structure for each department that drives the business and provides appropriate employee career paths and development opportunities.65
- Sustain our culture of empowerment, trust and collaboration as we scale, celebrate milestones, and support our leadership team’s ability to champion values in their day-to-day management strategies globally
- Partner with senior leadership to proactively identify staffing needs across all departments, and define recruiting plans
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with other leadership team peers to develop solutions; programs and policies
- Lead and nurture our cultural branding activities, pulling in marketing support as needed
- Lead a team of professionals responsible for supporting a global remote workforce
- Manage our inbound recruiting and employee referral program
- Own all full-cycle recruiting responsibilities from working with hiring managers to carefully defining roles through managing the hiring process from kick-off to close
- Manage our ATS and social referrals tracking systems
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and leadership on retention, compensation, employee relations, and performance improvement plans
- Champion our Objectives & Key Results (OKR) program, All Hands and cross-functional stretch goal initiatives
- Manage our compensation benchmarking with mid-year and annual performance review programs
- Continually improve onboarding and orientation activities
- Partner with our finance team to sustain a competitive benefits program
- Sustain our customer-driven culture with employee engagement, achievement recognition and cultural programs to reinforce behaviors aligned with company goals and values
- Manage our Employee Engagement and Experience system and awards
- Ensure our compliance program is systematically up to date on all national and local laws and regulations and industry best practices related to personnel, policies and procedures, employee handbook, employment agreements, and stock option awards.

About you and what skills you’ll bring
- East Coast Time Zone: We are a remote-first workforce but are giving priority to candidates currently based on the east coast due to our core business hours (9am-5pm ET) and collaborative efforts as an organization. At this time, we are unable to consider candidates based in other regions and appreciate your understanding
- 9+ years of overall people operations, HR or organizational development experience and 3+ years of management experience
- Degree in Organizational Behavior or Organizational Development with several years of practical experience executing in a corporate environment.
- Strong process orientation; proven track record of continuous process improvement, project management and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with staff at all levels and to deal with confidential information and all employee matters with diplomacy and discretion
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, flexibility, and excellence
- Experience managing talent acquisition and employee referral programs
- Experience developing and monitoring HR policies and compliance
