Role Description:
The Talent Associate will immediately become an important contributor to the Oak Street People Operations (HR) Team. This individual will provide a full life cycle, volume recruitment that will contribute to Oak Street Health's success. The individual will enhance the level of quality and quantity of our staff. The ability to be successful in a fast paced, sometimes ambiguous environment while being highly organized and detail oriented is essential. The role will be focused on growing with respect to our whole technology stack including data engineers, data scientists, data analysts, frontend & backend engineers, and product managers.
Core Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a requisition load ranging from 15-25 positions at any given time that ranges from entry-level to director-level positions and above
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company by implementing new processes and fine-tuning current processes
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party recruiting agencies, when necessary
  • Actively and creatively source/headhunt candidates for hard to fill roles by scouring job search websites and contacting those candidates personally
  • Manage short-list interviews, hiring team reviews, and offer processes / execution.
  • In your remaining time you will provide detailed candidate reviews and feedback, modifying and/or creating core technical recruiting strategy and process, or be working through complex offer negotiations in order to sign candidates to the team
  • Maintain strong partnership with hiring managers so that you may adjust overall recruiting strategy accordingly
  • Maintain hiring workflow (i.e., send offer letters, process demographic information, open/close job requisitions in our ATS, etc.)
  • Audit ATS system regularly to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Actively participate in creating a great candidate experience by ensuring the hiring process is fair and consistent throughout
  • Other duties as assigned


What are we looking for?

  • 2-4 years of experience in full cycle technology recruiting in a fast paced environment (from entry-level to Director-level roles and above)
  • Ability to establish priorities, manage deadlines and exercise a high degree of professionalism
  • High attention to detail with respect to people and providing a unified recruiting experience. You're able to identify nuance and create follow-up questions that drive at understanding a potential candidate's "Oakyiness"
  • A highly organized approach; You are able to capture, maintain, organize and juggle priorities in an often changing environment
  • While not a hands on technology expert, you are familiar with the standard tools of the trade and are able to engage in a two-way conversation with potential candidates on their previous technical experiences
  • Demonstrated track record of driving to solutions of problems
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated problem solving, judgment and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide high quality independent analysis, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to quickly build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situation
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience required
  • Strong computer skills
  • US work Authorization
