National Indemnity Company is on the search for a Technical Recruiter to join our growing team! Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2+ years' related work experience
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter or Recruiter
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g. phone, Webex and structured)
  • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for a variety of IT roles
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills
  • Human Resource laws and practices (EEO, Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, etc.)


Preferred:

  • Full Life cycle recruitment process experience
  • Experience managing agency/vendor contacts
  • Human Resource laws and practices
  • Company policies and procedures related to Human Resources


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Participates as a member of the hiring team in all aspects of the recruiting function working with management to fill positions at all levels for several insurance companies.
  • Develops recruiting and advertising strategies to identify candidates for open positions.
  • Develops recruiting plans for open positions, consults with supervisors and department heads to finalize the plans, and implements.
  • Assists with writing or updating job descriptions and prepares job postings
  • Writes job posting and job opening notices and submits notices of open positions to a variety of internet sites, publications, schools, or employment agencies.
  • Actively source passive candidates using Internet and appropriate social media sites, networking groups, industry-specific conferences/events, and other effective avenues
  • Reviews resumes to identify qualified candidates and consults with hiring supervisor, manager and/or department head to identify next steps.
  • Conducts telephone and initial in office interviews.
  • Recommends candidates for and coordinates supervisor, manager and department head interviews.
  • Schedules candidates, and hiring managers for in-office and video Webex interviews.
  • Selects one or more placement agencies to assist with recruitment process.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
  • Maintains contact with Managers on the status of candidates
  • Maintain recruiting records in the applicant tracking system.
  • Facilitates contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical/industry community and marketplace.
  • Requests transcripts and conducts reference checks.
  • Provides advice to hiring managers regarding salary negotiations with final candidates.
  • Extend job offers and draft offer letters
  • Initiate onboarding activities with HR Business Partner
  • Serves as an effective Company representative using excellent customer service skills.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including recruitment for skill sets outside of Information Technology, when needed.
  • Perform weekly recruiting update reports
