General Summary:Under the direction of the VP of Talent Management, the Talent Specialist will support the proactive engagement of experts to support Advarra's Centers of Excellence (COEs) and identification of experts to deliver on business engagements. This role will work in collaboration with team members to fuel Advarra and its clients with extraordinary talent.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

As a member of the Talent Team, you will be asked to deliver the following;

  • Support the Talent team in efforts to source, attract, recruit, and screen exceptional talent to support the fulfillment of client requirements
  • Build local, national, and international talent sources as needed; and maintain ongoing rapport with experts
  • Identify potential talent to support Advarra's COEs and assure experts are properly identified and managed through the process in a timely manner
  • Support Business Development requests to provide sample talent for potential business opportunities and/or identify experts as needed to help scope potential opportunities
  • List postings on job boards, social media, corporate career websites, and other channels as required for client engagements or to proactively identify talent for Advarra's COEs
  • Assist in the creation of submittal templates in support of the Talent Management team
  • Exercise discretion and judgment in managing expert concerns
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding and applying legal interviewing, screening, and hiring practices
  • Expand professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Participate in employment events as needed, such as career fairs
  • Utilize ATS systems and recruitment systems to organize and track activity
  • In all actions, correspondence, and interactions with clients and experts, support and reinforce the Advarra's brand message and represent the Advarra's organization with integrity and professionalism



Job Requirements:

Education:

  • College degree or commensurate experience



Experience:

  • Prior experience in recruiting and matching qualified technical and professional experts in the Life Sciences industries preferred



Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Have a strong sense of urgency, are self-motivated, and work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Manage multiple recruiting priorities and support the delivery successful outcomes
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills and able to engage both experts and clients in meaningful conversation
  • Build strong business relationships and establish a following of experts loyal to Advarra
  • Understand employment law and apply good business practices to their daily work
  • Absorb and learn new subject matter to fulfill client requirements
  • Use the Internet and third-party tools to source talent
  • Solve problems and manage client and expert concerns
  • Work flexible hours as filling client opportunities sometimes necessitates evening and weekend interactions with experts
  • Have comprehensive computer skills with fluency in Windows and Microsoft Office software and applications (Excel, Outlook, Word). Also fluency with recruitment ATS' and Salesforce platforms preferred
  • Must be comfortable in a remote work environment with strong team collaboration needs through phone, electronic communications, video meetings, email and other work stream needs



Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be able to read written reports, business correspondence and typed information on a computer screen
  • Must be able to hear well enough to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers, experts and client companies
  • Must be able to write, type, and use the telephone, speak in a professional manner, and use appropriate grammar
  • As part of the responsibilities of this position, may be required to climb stairs, stoop or kneel to retrieve items, lift office supplies, and pull or push doors
