Position Summary:
The Talent & Learning Development Manager is a key HR leader who will work collaboratively with HR and business teams to build and deliver strategic solutions. You'll drive the delivery of superior solutions across our internal customer base and support a unified talent function that transforms our effectiveness across the full spectrum of talent management and learning development. This position helps lead the implementation of the talent strategic objectives, programs, and processes that support the enterprise's strategic plan. This role will also support strategy execution, program enhancements, along with continued systems and process improvements. The successful candidate must be able to assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for Tilled employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. Ultimately, this role is instrumental in driving accelerated performance, wellbeing, and engagement for all of our employees. In close partnership with the Director of Talent, the Talent and Learning Development Manager will create structure, process and solutions meant to create a sustained, positive culture within Tilled.

You are:

  • Excellent with interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong presenting virtually and in person
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Someone with the ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
  • Someone with the ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Authorized to work in the United States and a resident in a United States time zone
  • Comfortable with travel for events and shows as needed
  • Someone who knows when, who, and how to ask for help


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Leverages existing external content library to help Tilled employees build individual development plans and complete compliance training
  • Manages existing external content library access, utilization, reporting, etc.
  • Trains employees in a way that promotes the values of Tilled and encourages strong employees to stay
  • Conducts annual training and development needs assessment
  • Defines, implements, and manages end-to-end talent programs, processes, and initiatives to achieve business growth plans and enable a high-performing culture
  • Deploys, implements, and facilitates core talent management processes (e.g., talent reviews, succession planning, performance management., etc.) to successfully manage talent
  • Trains and coaches managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee development efforts
  • Plans, organizes, and facilitates employee development and training events
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications such as newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of Tilled


Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required
  • 5-7+ years Learning & Development or Talent Management experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
  • Must possess exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
  • Social ease and a strong and demonstrated ability to build relationships with a variety of different people and personality types
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience creating and implementing end-to-end talent strategies, programs in a large, growing, and complex business
  • Expertise as a specialist or generalist in managing two or more talent management processes, including but not limited to succession planning, performance management, onboarding, coaching, leadership development, organizational design, change management
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a virtual team environment
