What you'll do here:

As a key member of the Cengage Group Talent team and reporting to the Director, Talent Development, the Talent Development Coordinator will support the team by providing program coordination and logistics, assisting in learner communications, maintaining Workday Learning, and working with team members to coordinate all aspects of the learner experience and Talent programs. This exciting and highly visible position provides an opportunity to work with key collaborators across the Talent team, HR, and Cengage Group.

  • Assist in implementing talent and onboarding programs from development through evaluation for Cengage Group employees
  • Handle program and session coordination, from beginning to end, including providing information to learners, answering inquiries, and distributing post-program evaluations
  • Collaborate with trainers and facilitators (internal and external) to coordinate live and self-paced learning
  • Assist in maintaining the internal Learning Management System (LMS), Workday Learning
  • Work with colleagues and vendors to ensure learning materials are up-to-date and available
  • Provide progress or participation reports to Talent team
  • Handle the Workday Help inbox and respond to inquiries
  • Partner with the DEIB lead to coordinate and support ERG events and programming
  • Additionally, there will be opportunity to collaborate on relevant functional projects to assist the team in implementing strategic priorities



Skills you'll need here:

  • Strong interpersonal and time-management skills; able to handle fluid timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail orientated
  • Strong digital literacy: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Proven record of working in a team environment
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and Zoom
  • Ability to prioritize in a constantly evolving environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Self-motivation and independence -- proactive in anticipating needs and thinking beyond the guidelines provided.

This role can be performed virtually from any location in the US, with some travel required for in-person delivery or team meetings, as needed.
