Summary of Position:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist role oversees planning, developing, managing recruitment processes and strategies. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong communicator , team player and forward thinker. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Key Responsibilities and Attributes:

  • Investigate and determine employee, team, and candidate needs
  • Move qualified candidates through the interview process
  • Develop a sustainable talent acquisition process to support hiring plans and strategies
  • Responsible for drafting, updating, implementing and communicating all processes and policies for recruiting.
  • Oversee the development of all recruiting members to establish consistency for hiring role requirements
  • Design, plan and execute employer branding activities
  • Encourage employees to be brand ambassadors
  • Plan employee referral programs
  • Source and find candidates qualified for open positions
  • Perform analysis of hiring needs and provide employee hiring forecast
  • Design, plan and execute selection processes (conduct interviews and screening calls, administer background tests etc.)
  • Work with hiring manager to review employment applications and background check reports
  • Perform candidate and employee satisfaction evaluations and workshops
  • Plan procedures for improving the candidate experience
  • Suggest measures for improving employee retention
  • Lead members of the recruiting team
  • Use sourcing methods for hard-to-fill roles
  • Attend networking events such as career and college fairs, and similar events
  • Oversee the maintenance of recruiting materials and orders new supplies as needed (business cards, displays etc)
  • Manages budget for Talent team and find ways to be cost efficient
  • Delegate various tasks and needs as necessary
  • Be a key interviewer
  • Work with HR team and Hiring Managers to create and extend offer letters
  • Send welcome letter to new hires and congratulatory/instructional email to hiring managers
  • Solicit feedback through HM Scorecards & post mortems to capture the hiring manager
  • Oversee the maintenance of recruiting materials and orders new supplies as needed (business cards, displays etc)
  • Assess new vendors and valuate potential new initiatives to grow our brand, the candidate exposure and or to find cost savings
  • Maintains communication with strong applicants throughout interview process

  • Preferred, but not required: Bachelor's in Business or Communication a 2.8+ GPA from four-year college or university; or Minimum 2 years of applicable Talent Acquisition experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals as well as operate internal, online systems
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to mentor, grow and work harmoniously as part of a larger team
  • Ability to do intermediate-level math (calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages)
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Effectively utilizes staff including delegating as appropriate
  • Ability to manage healthy business processes
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel
