Job Responsibilities

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager reports directly to the Global Head, Talent Acquisition and is responsible for coaching, managing, and mentoring a geographically dispersed team of Recruiters and Coordinators. The TA Manager provides effective thought leadership, sets performance benchmarks, analyzes data/metrics, executes comprehensive talent attraction strategies, and understands how to prioritize to meet business objectives. The TA Manager will work closely with TA Operations, HR Business Partners, and business leaders as a consultative advisor with a focus on developing innovative solutions and project plans to meet the hiring needs of the organization.

Below are the key expectations of this exciting new role:

  • Lead, develop and coach a high-functioning team of Talent Advisors to ensure delivery of a best in class hiring experience to our candidates and hiring managers while partnering with our COE (Center of Excellence) partners.
  • Drive adoption across the team by introducing, monitoring, and measuring KPIs and other mission critical results.
  • Design and implement a rigorous, engaging, and data-driven talent acquisition strategy that enables us to scale with confidence.
  • Partner with our marketing team to develop branding and marketing campaigns and strategies that position Viasat as an Employer of Choice among the markets most critical and sought-after talent.
  • Evaluate, improve, and implement new recruiting solutions (search, AI platforms), technologies (ATS and CRM), interview (assessment tools, scoring rubrics) processes to ensure an ironclad and centralized talent acquisition function.
  • Partner with key stakeholders (business leaders, hiring managers, HR Business Partners) to establish timely and accurate headcount forecasting that will drive internal and external talent attraction strategies and allow for effective TA resource planning.
  • Collaborate with People and Culture (P&C) COEs, business and marketing thought partners to develop branding and attraction campaigns designed to create more inclusive talent pools.
  • Champion DEI focus throughout the end-to-end recruiting process (intake, posting, attraction/posting strategy, interview, assessment, selection and offer).
  • Work with regional recruiting teams in EMEA, North America and India to ensure Viasat's Talent Acquisition strategies can be adapted and localized in support of operational and branding consistency.
  • As requested, lead/and or participate in global Talent Acquisition related projects and initiatives.


Requirements

  • 8 years of Talent Acquisition (agency/corporate) experience ideally with a focus on IT/Services recruitment, combined with 3 years of experience leading, building, and coaching recruiting team.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams of TA professionals (contingent and full time).
  • Expertise leveraging market and competitor analysis to define and execute effective, multi- prong talent strategies, assessments and closing approaches in support of regional and global hiring.
  • Strong capability of influencing and managing through ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Experience utilizing complex data sets and analytical skills to create, measure and scale workflows to achieve accelerated hiring goals.
  • Experience with capacity planning, forecasting, process improvement and measurements.
  • Experience participating in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new recruiting technologies such as ATS and CRM systems.
  • Experience preparing and delivering executive level briefings to inform business leaders on the progress of key recruitment initiatives and hiring metrics.
  • Expertise in compliance and privacy standards as well as knowledge and understanding of state and federal employment laws, AA/EEO recruiting and hiring policies.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, presentations, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with recruiting technology (ATS, CRM) primarily Workday, Avature and iCIMS.
  • Travel Up to 20%.

For Colorado-based jobs only: The minimum for this position is $131,900 annually; however, base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional cash or stock incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
