Job summary
Help us hire key talent for Red Hat's growth. The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Talent Acquisition Advisor to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for hiring through strategic planning, process redesign, collaboration, keen negotiation, and motivating communication. In partnership with peer HR consultants, you'll lead the implementation of recruitment activities for Red Hat's operating business and field-based teams. You will effectively translate data and objectives into actions, delivering against the overall business strategy and financial goals. As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will also work closely with the Talent Acquisition (TA) Delivery teams to ensure that they fill recruitment demand across multiple functions, businesses, and locations. By building and managing solid relationships with key hiring managers, you will help us lead processes in areas like developing detailed and well-defined position profiles, competitive market analysis, go-to-market strategy, interview design and planning, candidate experience, final candidate selection, and closing.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Serve as an internal consultant and adviser to hiring managers from the opening of a requisition through to candidate onboarding
  • Conduct a thorough needs analysis to deliver quality results with a sense of urgency
  • Work closely with the fulfillment team to ensure that their sourcing and recruitment strategies are aligned with the needs of hiring managers
  • Work with sourcers and recruiters to set aggressive, but realistic timelines for presenting deliverables and interested candidates to hiring managers
  • Lead continuous productivity improvement to the recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding operations
  • Expertly manage communication and cooperation among associates and teams to include conflict resolution, stress management, diversity awareness, teamwork, and political dynamics
  • Lead status update meetings with customer stakeholders as required
  • Develop robust workforce plans and distill them into TA plans for each new fiscal year; monitor and adjust these plans on a quarterly basis to match the business environment at Red Hat
  • Successfully design interview and evaluation processes for all levels in a systematic and collaborative manner
  • Become a subject matter expert in recruiting market developments, competitive trends, compensation, and other relevant areas; share knowledge with key stakeholders
  • Enhance the process of qualification of skills, cultural assessment, and demonstrative evaluation techniques used to ensure the selection and hiring of the best talent for all openings
  • Create optimal candidate experience


Required skills

  • 5+ years of progressive consulting or project management experience working for top-tier organizations
  • Solid sales recruiting experience in a technology company
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Solid business insight and broad understanding of current business trends and strategies
  • Understanding of HR metrics
  • Advanced consulting skills with demonstrated ability to successfully persuade senior stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and objectively while considering global implications
  • Willingness to engage at all levels of an organization; ability to handle ambiguity, structure problems, and deliver results
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities that require attention to detail and nuanced communication
  • Desire to win by using expert negotiation skills, employing value selling strategies, and anticipating objections, resulting in successful candidate offers
  • Solid understanding of business fundamentals, financial goals, and the competitive landscape
