About the job
The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Strategic Recruiting Partner (contractor) to join us in Westford or Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; or remotely. In this role, you will support our recruitment work for our Products and Technologies (PnT) and IT teams in North America (NA) through the identification and screening of candidates for a variety of technical roles and skills. You'll manage the applicant flow, target social and business networks, and use our applicant tracking system (iCIMS) to manage your activity. Once you identify the best candidates, you will serve as an ambassador for Red Hat and effectively position our brand to hire candidates. As a Strategic Recruiting Partner, you'll need to have a proven record in the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, develop solid search and close techniques, and collaborate with our talent recruiting and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) teams. This is a 6-month contract with a good possibility for extension or conversion to a full-time role. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Identify potential future Red Hatters using a variety of sourcing tools, including social media and internet searches
  • Partner with talent recruiting team to provide our candidates with the best hiring experience
  • Proactively market potential candidates to hiring managers and Talent Advisors across the PnT and IT teams
  • Manage candidate pipeline using our applicant tracking system (iCIMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tool, Avature
  • Represent Red Hat at industry events and conferences to promote company culture and opportunities
  • Work with managers to develop compelling job descriptions and sourcing strategies to attract the best diverse talent to Red Hat
  • Ensure exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Become an ambassador of the Red Hat brand; grow your audience, deliver high-quality and relevant content, and interact with communities and individuals on social media
  • Maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements


What you will bring

  • Previous experience and accomplishments as a Technical Recruiter within an agency, corporate, in-house, or military environment
  • Demonstrated success using internet marketing or search tools like Boolean search, database search, or social media
  • Experience influencing hiring manager decisions and providing strategic hiring recommendations
  • Ability to compete for talent in highly competitive markets
  • Experience meeting candidates and assessing their skills, ability, and fit
  • Positive, proactive attitude with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other talent acquisition tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable networking with people from different backgrounds
  • Motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to solve issues using creative problem-solving skills
