Job Description

The Sr. Manager, Learning Design and Organization Effectiveness is responsible for the enterprise-wide design, development and delivery of learning and organizational effectiveness strategies and solutions. This role is responsible for working with the Director to create and deliver on the direction of the learning and development function and curriculum. This role will partner closely with cross functional teams, business leaders, and HR partners to develop and execute on strategy, development, measurement and maintenance of leadership, high potential and career development programs and experiences, linked to company and business goals and succession plans; measure and communicate the effectiveness of these strategies and lead continuous improvement efforts. The Manager, Sr. Learning Design and Organizational Effectiveness will also balance short- and long-term goals that align with company strategy to drive associate growth and development at all levels within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director to create training and development strategy and approach, partnering with HR and senior leaders. Ensure development offerings support the changing needs of the business and address new initiatives, with an emphasis on emerging trends and practices. Programs include both leadership and professional development.
  • Lead the enhancement of enterprise-wide learning and development, through the design, development, selection, and delivery of in-house and external learning solutions and resources including corporate training programs, trainer certifications, and other related training to meet both enterprise-wide and specific departmental needs.
  • Partner closely with HR leaders and business unit Training leaders to effectively implement enterprise-wide organizational effectiveness programs; identify opportunities for collaboration, process improvement, and resource sharing, and gain alignment and partnership for execution and adoption.
  • Identify regular reviews of the work in order to analyze opportunities and new projects, and make appropriate recommendations to ensure programs remain relevant, competitive and affordable. Actively manage vendors and service providers; regularly evaluate and drive changes to get desired ROI.
  • Promote innovative learning practices, including application of latest trends and best practices in adult learning and develop a structure for informal learning, such as experiential and social learning.
  • Direction of staff, supervising projects and services provided by staff, including Instructional Design, Course Facilitation and Organizational Development initiatives. Creation of planned budget and management of the monthly forecast to ensure timely approval of expenses.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Training, Education or Learning; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in project management, preferably learning/training, Experience facilitating training classes or large meetings
  • Technical Competencies:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Experience developing or overseeing the development of eLearning, Instructor Led Training, On the Job Training, performance support, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning solutions
    • Demonstrated experience working with leaders, including identifying needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results/recommendations
    • Ability to build relationships, collaborate with and influence others at all levels of the organization
    • Ability to lead in a changing environment, creating structure and processes as needed and deliver results in these situations
    • Strong communication skills - oral and written
    • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
    • Must be able to speak/understand/read/write English
