ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY: Senior Manager, DIB Community Partnerships
The Senior Manager of DIB Community Partnerships will be responsible for developing and managing Capital One’s strategic partnerships with our external DIB community partners, collaborating with internal and external stakeholder groups in managing and operationalizing these relationships. The role will ensure a strong alignment to the enterprise DIB strategic plan and partnering with leadership to support the growth and impact of these communities across the enterprise. This will include partnering closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and capitalization of synergies where key themes and areas of focus are identified.
The selected leader will bring intellectual rigor, data and insights, strategically bold ideas, and effective communications to conversations - having a strong point of view and influence on executive mindsets and actions relative to DIB. This role will inform, contribute to, and enable Capital One’s comprehensive DIB strategic plan and ambitions, helping to build our enterprise DIB capabilities and to contribute to program innovation.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and deployment of an effective local, regional and national DIB community partnership strategy in close collaboration with internal stakeholder networks.
Responsible for developing a strategic investment model and managing investments in a manner that optimizes value and impact for the organization.
Ability to represent Capital One and its values in the external community.
Responsible for developing the interaction and governance models necessary to operationalize and sustain our strategic partnership framework.
Serve as the primary DIB partner for Government/Public Affairs teams as necessary.
Act as strategic advisor and thought partner to internal stakeholders related to diversity community partnership offerings and programming options.
Provide leadership in the development of an integrated marketing and communications plan that promotes our partnership strategy internally and in the external marketplace.
Lead and facilitate in enterprise, marketplace or industry opportunities related to external benchmarking, communication and external events and commitments.
Works closely across internal partner teams to assess and build best in class programs by leveraging our diversity community partners.
Ability to develop and synthesize a strong knowledge and understanding of Capital One’s businesses and strategies to provide important linkages with other functional areas that integrate and impact the diversity community partnership strategy.
Proven success in collaborating in a complex matrixed environment to identify needs and develop diversity strategy solutions to drive business impact.
Must possess strong analytical skills & problem-solving capabilities, and demonstrate ability to weave robust analysis into strategic planning, influencing and problem solving.
Ability to demonstrate empathy, humanity and inspirational and servant leadership that activates, inspires and activates the hearts and minds of others to engage in the work and journey of culture change
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 5 years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion, HR, OR Community Relations
At least 3 years of experience developing and leading strategic partnerships with Diversity Community Partners
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Human Resources
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
At least 7 years of relevant experience in DIB, HR, Community Relations or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in Diversity Community Partnership Strategy capacity
Strong analytical skills & problem-solving capabilities
Proven track record in prioritizing competing priorities
Proven ability to influence and drive change
