Overview
Leads and administers key employee relations human resource practices to develop a high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Job Description

  • Participates in developing department objectives, goals and action plans
  • Gathers and maintains intelligence on human resource disciplines to guide operational recommendations
  • Counsels, advises and provides guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees related to employee relations matters
  • Maintains employee relations personnel files
  • Manages ongoing criminal background check facilitation
  • In collaboration with HR Team, and legal counsel, interprets Federal and State regulations to analyze, develop and review policies, procedures, and employee handbook in the area of employee relations
  • Facilitates communication among employees and management by providing guidance and consultation regarding problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and litigation avoidance and strives to resolve internal conflict informally through appropriate conflict management techniques
  • Oversees and conducts employee exit interviews and reporting
  • Handles ADA/ Disability Management/ADA Accommodations/Review requests for extended employee leave of absences to determine compliance and ensure interactive process
  • Provides litigation support/ responds to subpoena requests
  • Manages Immigration Sponsorships (H-1B, I-983's)
  • Manages performance counseling tracking and reporting
  • Assists with review of annual performance management documentation
  • Confidently interacts with internal customers at all levels of the organization
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations regarding employment
  • Collaborates with HR team in functional roles to address and resolve any issues
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrates behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred
  • HRIS proficiency
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills, including significant experience leading and conducting internal investigations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in creating and reengineering business processes desired
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
