Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility:

The Senior Director, Talent Acquisition will report directly to the EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer and is responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies that strengthen organizational capabilities to ensure Americold have the talent to successfully achieve business objectives.

This leader will lead a team of Recruiter Managers, Recruiters, and Coordinators and will work together with senior business leaders within Americold, HR partners, Communications, Total rewards and Talent Management teams to provide full lifecycle best practice TA service. They will design and assist with the execution of TA strategies to identify, attract, and hire high-quality talent utilizing active and passive sourcing techniques to fill existing and future job openings. This leader will interpret internal hiring demands and translate them into timely, results-driven action items for their team members to execute. They will also operate as the lead for TA liaising closely with the international HR and TA teams in APAC and EMEA to help coordinate elements of the talent planning process.

Essential Functions:

Recruiting Delivery
• Accountable for ensuring successful end-to-end TA delivery for Americold hiring across the Americas, and representation of TA to external markets• Manage and oversee full life-cycle TA processes and ensure alignment across regional model within areas of responsibility• Align TA resources, strategic approaches, and tools to best support Americold's current and future staffing needs with a focus on Diversity & Inclusion• Strengthen existing and identify new sources of talent and develop relationships with external top performers who can positively impact business outcomes in the future• Utilize various tools and resources to effectively evaluate talent in a variety of methods to ensure that the company is selecting highly qualified and engaged professionals to join Americold• Identify talent on the market and build a pipeline of candidates for future vacancies
Recruiting Strategy & Marketing
• Collaborate across the Talent Acquisition team to align with and implement a TA strategy to drive successful hiring practices and outcomes • Assess, regionalize, and communicate recruiting strategies, including sourcing and acquisition strategies; recruiting tools and processes; talent mapping and systems• Design and implement external candidate marketing and proactive recruiting programs and processes that attract, select, and retain a qualified, diverse workforce

Workforce Analytics
• Analyze regional success against metrics and create and execute plans to achieve on-going improvement • Monitor operational practices that drive strong performance across all recruitment-related metrics including Time to Fill, Cost Per Hire, Quality and Diversity & Inclusion• Oversee adherence to recruiting effectiveness metrics, global TA process governance and key performance indicators (KPIs) for areas of responsibility (number of hires, quality of hire, hiring manager satisfaction, offer acceptance, agency usage and cost, talent pipeline, source of hire, referral rates, etc.)
Stakeholder Management
• Be a reliable partner with Americold Business Leaders, HR Centers of Expertise, and HR Talent and Regional partners• Collaborate and partner with HR Talent and Regional Partners, regional business leaders, and other key stakeholders to analyze and evaluate business goals, identify talent needs and/or gaps associated with those goals, and develop and implement programs to find the right talent• Act as subject matter expert to inform, influence, and drive strategies to meet the evolving needs of the business effectively and efficiently

HR Management
• Manage a team of recruiting professionals • Guide TA team to build, develop and manage a network/database of key competition and talent utilizing and leveraging innovative techniques• Optimize the Americold's TA team's ability to achieve delivery, quality, diversity, and cost targets for recruitment and ensure compliance and control of all recruitment activities and processes• Provide strategic guidance, enablement, thought leadership and operational assistance to their recruitment team and key stakeholders within Americold

Mobility
• Joint oversight of the Americold Immigration and mobility practices.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required• Strong track record of leading cross functional teams• Experience working in a centrally led matrix organization• 15+ years of progressively responsible Talent Acquisition/HR experience• 10+ years in a managerial/supervisory role with demonstrated ability to coach and support a team to successful delivery• Strong track record of developing, implementing, and managing the change around strategy for talent sourcing, acquisition, and mapping• Exceptional influencing and problem-solving abilities; ability to interpret key metrics to inform a data-driven strategy• Oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge• Excellent knowledge of current trends and practices relating to talent acquisition, including compensation structures• Excellent project management and organization skills to work and lead several initiatives simultaneously, effectively, and efficiently• Comfortable working in a fast paced, high-volume environment

Knowledge & Employment Standards:
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships with executive-level decision-makers and internal resources at all levels• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.• High capacity for interacting in cross functional teams. Ability to quickly grasp and collaborate with business partners.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in one-on-one and group settings.• Experience recruiting and developing strategies for wide variety of hiring areas of including but not limited to Supply Chain Operations, IT, Business Development, Finance and Executive level recruiting• Personal networking skills that will extend and enhance candidate sourcing and pipelining strategies; incumbent will be expected to attend external networking events on a routine basis• Ability to be flexible when needed, to take initiative, and to demonstrate accountability• Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions• Well-developed experience in using multiple and creative recruiting strategies and for passive and active candidate recruitment• Strong negotiation skills, ideally in a global matrix organization with ability to challenge status quo to ensure best talent attracted, retained, and developed• A "big picture thinker" who understands vision and strategy, but is also a hands-on who can get things done
