▪ Banking Solutions: The banking solutions segment serves community, regional, and global banks, credit unions and commercial lenders, government institutions, corporations, and more. ▪ Merchant Solutions: The Merchant solutions segment is the fastest growing segment within FIS and serves large and fast-growing targeting internet-led multinationals with complex payment needs supported by vertical expertise in their eCommerce business. Their solutions provide local in-store, online and mobile payment acceptance solutions for merchants, from large corporates to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs/SMBs) and micro merchants with a focus on integrated payments for SMEs/SMBs. Approximately 32% of total revenues currently are driven from this segment.

▪ Capital Market Solutions:  The Capital Market segment serves investment banks, investment managers, securities and trading firms, corporations, and insurance companies, and more.   Their solutions provide for the full transaction processing lifecycle, risk management and compliance across multiple asset classes and lending structures.

Spanning both the Sell and Buy side of the financial services industry, we enable our solutions through our managed and professional services offerings.  Approximately 19% of total revenues currently are driven from this segment.

THE POSITION

The Sr. Director of Strategic Planning will report directly to the GM of Enterprise Payments for North America. This strategic position focuses on ensuring that the organization is being run smoothly and effectively. Being effective in this role requires a natural aptitude for building strong, trusting partnerships across the organization. The Sr. Director of Strategic Planning will be responsible for handling internal communications as well as representing the GM in several cross functional teams. This person anticipates needs and demands and works to provide logical, innovative, and creative solutions without explicit instruction. S/he will be expected to communicate changes in prioritization and decision-making efficiently and be capable of carrying out multiple projects while effectively prioritizing tasks according to the needs of the GM and organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide a strategic sounding board to the GM, North America Enterprise to ensure that goals and objective are being achieved, and that priorities are being communicated effectively
  • Collaborating with executive team members to determine and prioritize business strategies
  • Determining key performance indicators and how to measure team performance
  • Work with cross functional teams including product, finance, and compliance to ensure North America team priorities are being represented and achieved
  • Serve as primary liaison for internal communications including monthly all hands and updates
  • Actively enable the efficiency of business operations from behind the scenes.
  • Ensure that long-term projects are executed in an efficient, cost-effective and diligent manner
  • Interact with internal staff members to conduct and oversee preparation of briefing materials for key meetings
  • Own strategic initiatives for North America

Examples of the scope of activities for this role are:

  • Owner and source-of-truth for all team KPIs and related reporting
  • Owner of North America payments strategic plan
  • Rigor test content and targets delivered by teams
  • Identify cross-team interdependencies and manage issue resolution
  • Work with cross functional teams to establishes objectives, plans, and budgets, typically working with corporate senior management for setting strategic direction
  • Manages business metric activities including predictive modeling, trend analysis and other data analytics.
  • Develops strategies and communications for monthly all hands, monthly updates, and team off-sites.
  • Drive weekly Exec staff meeting
