Skills Development Specialist
We are:
Wix's Global Learning & Development team. We're an eclectic group (across 9 cities!) that's passionate about learning. Our goal is to empower Wix employees to be successful, master their craft and become lifelong learners.
To accomplish this, we deliver ongoing, high-quality and measurable blended learning experiences for Wix's Customer Care and Partners organizations. This includes face-to-face instruction, online courses, experiential workshops, one-on-one mentorship and certifications - really anything it takes to provide an effective learning experience.
You are:
A professional who's truly enthusiastic about learning and has a passion for soft skills. You have 3+ years of experience working with adult learners and you're committed to producing engaging learning solutions for our Customer Care & Partners group employees that support their success through behavioral change. You have experience working in fields such as instructional design, training, education, or communications. You're adaptable and have proven success in a fast paced environment. Ideally you have work experience that requires you to collaborate globally.
You're eager to support the growth of the soft skills team, you have the ability to solve problems thoughtfully and effectively, and you can take initiative in developing new topics. You're a self-starter and you enjoy working both independently and collaboratively.
All members of the soft skills team are responsible for presenting material to a variety of audiences within Wix, so it's vital you have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate strengths in presenting and public speaking.
Experience working with Customer Care/Support teams - a big plus!
Occasional global travel may be required when travel restrictions are eased.
As a Skills Development Specialist, you will:
- Develop new content for live skills training sessions
- Lead engaging and progressive soft skills training sessions globally (currently on Zoom, but you can expect a combination of live and Zoom sessions)
- Develop new content for eLearning training videos
- Update existing soft skills training material on a regular basis
- Maintain a library of examples to use during training sessions to ensure topics are practical and job related
- Create alternative learning outputs that reinforce soft skills concepts in partnership with designer, for example - infographics, guides, and suggested resources
- Research soft skills topics to ensure our department is on top of industry trends
