About the team and position

We’re looking for an experienced and advanced recruiter to join our rapidly growing organization. The Senior Recruiter will focus on our Senior Technology leadership roles and have the unique opportunity to build, develop, and execute full life-cycle talent acquisition for Carvana’s Technology, Product and Creative teams. You’ll partner with our technology leaders to identify and hire some of the world’s most talented leaders who align with our Carvana values.

Working Virtually at Carvana

We have taken steps to support the health and well-being of current and potential employees. Our interview and onboarding process is hosted virtually. Although this role is currently remote/home-based, the candidate must be willing to relocate near one of our offices in the Phoenix, Atlanta, San Francisco, or Los Angeles metropolitan areas.

What you’ll be doing

• Own Associate Director level and above hiring for our Technology roles including Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Creative teams.
• Proactively source and recruit passive and active tech leadership candidates to hire the best talent.
• Manage the recruitment process from initial contact to offer, ensuring an exceptional candidate journey.
•  Serve as a subject matter expert when it comes to talent acquisition, advising your hiring teams on the best practices.
•  Prioritize developing a robust diverse talent pipeline for all departments.
•  Foster long-term relationships with prospective executive candidates through genuine relationship building and influence.
• Contribute to the knowledge base of the Tech TA team by providing education on market research, talent pools/profiles, and innovative strategies to engage and nurture candidates.
• Understand Carvana’s leadership principles and assess talent for the qualities and traits that align with how we define an effective leader at Carvana.
• Engage and build relationships with all levels of talent, including senior leaders, and secure top talent through successful offer preparation and negotiation, including the closing of offers at the leadership level. 
• Represent Carvana at various hiring and field recruitment events.
• Influence Carvana recruiting best practices (we LOVE some good collaboration!).
• Mentor and/or develop and supervise junior team members when appropriate/applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you should know

• Strong experience in a full-cycle recruiting role (preferably inclusive of in-house recruiting at a corporation), including leadership or executive level recruiting.
• Experience with virtual recruitment (social media, LinkedIn, resume sourcing) is required.
• Experience working with an ATS, preferably Greenhouse.
• Exceptional interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong consultative skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to influence decision-making with key stakeholders.
•  Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
•  Knowledge and understanding of industry data, trends, and benchmarking.
•  You have a sense of humor. 
• You understand the value of teamwork and how teams work…that was deep. If you disagree, read it again. Out loud if necessary.
•  You have the ability to multitask and prioritize like a ninja.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited undergraduate institution is preferred.
