Our Opportunity:

The Chewy HR team is looking for a HR Ventures & Acquisitions Program Manager to join our team. We are looking for an up and coming energetic, strategic leader and owner, who can take a brand-new program from ideation to full launch while successfully partnering with senior leaders across the organization. You must have a passion for solving complex ambiguous problems, be able to communicate effectively with internal and external partners and demonstrate proven results in delivering large scale programs.  If you have a passion for new business ventures, acquisitions and international expansion, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the Head of Ventures & Acquisitions in developing and executing the HR strategy for new ventures and acquisitions at Chewy
  • Enhance and model HR best practices for processes that will be utilized during new venture and acquisition activity
  • Serve as program lead for assigned efforts, partnering with HR Centers of Excellence and HR Subject Matter Experts to coordinate implementation and integration activity
  • Own end to end execution and responsibility for successful project delivery by leveraging experience & cutting-edge research
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for new programs, initiatives, and ventures from business case, implementation plans, risk mitigation plans, resourcing, prioritization and more
  • Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management to internal leadership, and balance customer needs versus technical constraints to maximize program benefits
  • Communicate status and changes of program milestones to stakeholders and senior leaders through clear and concise communication
  • Support multiple parallel workstreams managing projects from inception through rollout

What You’ll Need:

  • BA/BS in General Management, Human Resources, or Business Development
  • 5+ years of program leadership and program management experience (preferred in e-commerce or retail with an organization with international scope)
  • 3+ years of experience leading large scale global programs, or mergers / acquisitions experience
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially focused on conveying complex information in an approachable manner to large or small audiences
  • Ability to think and perform strategically and tactically
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Position may require travel

Bonus (if applicable):

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in either HR or a consulting environment – specifically related to new venture activity
