The People Team at Moveworks is redefining the purpose of Human Resources. The People Team sits at the center of employee experience at Moveworks by providing strategic and proactive direction to the entire employee base, starting with our Managers and Leaders.

Our hyper growth presents an exciting and interesting challenge to scale people, processes, and develop management capability effectively, in a constantly evolving global business context. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience and a drive for rolling out well thought out and scalable initiatives. This hands-on role will focus on building quality people programs that scale with Moveworks’ growing population, while also serving as a trusted partner who can be a player-coach on all aspects of People Operations (such as HRIS management, data analysis, et al.). In this role you will grow to serve as a cross-functional partner to our managers, HRBPs, and to Finance. 

You will report to our Head of People. This is a highly visible, high touch, and deeply collaborative role. As such, the ideal candidate will be able and willing to work daily out of our headquarters in Mountain View, CA.

What You Will Do:

• Manage HR systems – including ADP, Sapling, and Lattice.
• Evaluate and improve HR system configuration to maximize efficiency.
• Own the maintenance and accuracy of all HR data and all annual data audits.
• Create and own people data analysis and metrics. 
• Help shape a global People strategy that aligns and moves the business towards continued growth, innovation and improvement.
• Create and manage streamlined processes by ensuring alignment with key cross-functional stakeholders inside and outside the core People function (Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Stock Administration, and Finance).
• Conceive or and roll out of new people programs.
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations across U.S. and international locations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of global, local, and federal employment laws; Maintain and store records judiciously and securely.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in HR or People roles, with experience in building and optimizing processes, systems, and structures–ideally within a high-growth startup.
• Demonstrated ability to own, execute and deliver on short- and long-term projects.
• Strategic and innovative thinker; able to prioritize and use sound judgment and decision-making.
• Able to operate at a tactical as well as strategic level.
• A positive, GTD, solutions-oriented attitude, paired with flawless execution.
• Assertive, yet humble. Ability to overcome resistance and effectively manage change.
• Ability to comfortably operate in ambiguity with minimal guidance in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to work within constraints as well as to challenge the status quo, when and where appropriate.
• Demonstrated project management and change management experience.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and a variety of stakeholders.
• Understand the entire employee life-cycle, and be able to recommend process-driven and operational solutions to improve our employee experience.
