Senior Manager, Payroll
The Global Senior Manager, Payroll Operations is responsible for all elements of timely preparation and accurate processing of SailPoint's payroll. The Senior Manager, Payroll Operations role identifies and implements payroll initiatives and projects which requires strong technical and communication skills and the ability to simultaneously manage tasks to meet SailPoint's standards and deadlines. The Senior Manager, Payroll Operations will partner with various departments including Accounting, Human Resources and Benefits and external partners to achieve these goals. This position is remote and you can sit anywhere in the US.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a team to execute timely and accurate processing of payroll for 1,500+ Global employees
- Review and analyze input of necessary data (timesheets, OT, expenses, commissions, bonuses, option exercises and RSU vesting, etc.)
- Process off-cycle payroll as required
- Review quarterly/annual employer and employee payroll tax reports
- Own and manage the relationship with our third party payroll processors, both domestically and internationally
- Ensure all local, state, federal and international governmental requirements are met, such as taxes and withholdings
- Represent payroll in strategic planning dialogue with the HR Technology team
- Implement new regulations and policies and changes to benefits as applicable to payroll
- Work closely with all departments to ensure accuracy in employee pay and financial reporting
- Recommend and implement efficiencies to improve payroll processing and employee satisfaction
- Respond timely to payroll requests and resolve employee issues
- Drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline payroll operations
- Ensure continuous development of payroll policies and standard operating procedures
- Ability to lead and develop a team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of progressive experience processing and managing multi-state and international payrolls
- Experience with Workday Payroll preferred
- Excellent skills in MS office with high proficiency in Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to handle a high volume of data with confidentiality, accuracy and discretion
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to train and develop employees
