Senior Manager, Human Resources at PEAK6 (Chicago, IL)
The Senior Manager, HR plays a vital role in ensuring the functions they partner with are thriving and executing at scale. You will be in charge of developing, implementing, and updating the company's HR policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks that include directing operations of the HR team, creating and tracking HR metrics to identify trends, and managing Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations for the Shared Services Teams within Peak6 . Using data, combined with sound judgment and creativity, you'll directly influence the success of our organization. This role will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and will partner closely with other COE operations and PEAK6 brands.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a business partner and trusted advisor to the leaders of PEAK6 Services, offering candid insight and feedback regarding important decisions within the business.
- Lead and manage employee engagement, change management, performance management, HR communications, and ensure compliance with all national and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition Operations, delegating to HR Business Partner whenever necessary.
- Continually assess and communicate the HR risks inherent in the business, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, and management restructurings.
- Partner with HR Business Partner to conduct investigations and respond to employee concerns or complaints. Able to respond to a full range of human resource matters in an effective, sensitive, and reputable manner.
- Ensure HR data, files and reports are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure the consistent application and use of HR policies and business processes within our HRIS system across all LOBs
- Manage the annual salary review process and off-cycle actions according to Company guidelines.
- Create and track HR Metrics to identify trends and design and implement appropriate actions
- Facilitate annual performance and calibration sessions and drive the annual talent review process.
You'll gain loads of experience in this role but before you do, you should have:
- 8-10 years of HR Operations or broader HR experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, and changing environment with periods of ambiguity
- Bachelor's degree or previous equivalent HR discipline experience
- Proven partnership ability - both strategist and practitioner of HR programs - with a strong track record of successfully implementing people programs and initiatives
- Experience simultaneously managing people and processes in an HR environment
- Impeccable judgment and execution of tasks
- Ability to influence senior leadership is essential, while providing coaching
- Ability to problem solve, manage conflict, and build relationships with people at all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated experience with administrative use in HR Information Systems use and/or implementations. Workday experience a plus.
