About the Team
The HRIS Sr. Manager is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for providing team leadership and technical expertise. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both strategic planning and tactical execution. This person is comfortable with hands-on responsibilities and leading a team by utilizing their strong background in Workday. They will have proven abilities to plan, organize, implement and lead specific solutions that make an impact. A successful candidate adapts quickly to a changing environment, is data driven, and technically savvy and has a passion for optimizing process and structure. The right individual leads with optimism and works to simplify, optimize, and remove bottlenecks.
What You Will Do

  • As the Workday HRIS Sr. Manager you will be responsible for growing and managing a team, planning and executing Workday strategy, driving further adoption of the system and maximizing Workdays potential.
  • Manage a team of Workday professionals - this includes growing skill sets, coaching, directing, and evaluating performance.
  • Responsible for Workday HRIS operations including enhancements, customizations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Leads efforts to improve HR systems configuration, test, and operational excellence best practices. Ensures SOX compliance is met.
  • Serve as a primary resource for efforts in implementations and training releases.
  • Manage project prioritization for each Workday sprint.
  • Develop project plans and roadmaps in support of the Workday HRIS system.
  • Resolves complex problems spanning across multiple Workday modules and workstreams to drive improvements; leads projects with significant business implications, participates in planning and priority estimates, advises other HR systems resource, and executes with limited guidance.
  • Solves complex cross-functional architecture/design and business problems. Serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of HR systems by leveraging partnerships with technology teams and business leaders to resolve escalated issues.


About You

  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, human resources, or related field.
  • Minimum two years' experience as an HRIS manager or related supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and maintenance of Workday.
  • Broad Workday experience specifically with HCM/reporting/dashboard/integration.
  • Experience successfully managing an HRIS team of Workday experts.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including an ability to explain systems and solutions in simple terms to stakeholders across the business.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and capable of working on own initiative with limited supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines. High tolerance for ambiguity with the ability to be agile around rapid change.
  • Demonstrated process improvement skills and proven history of implementing positive change.
  • Collaborative, able to listen and solicit all perspectives.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism with the ability to manage confidential employee data.

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $148,000/year. The compensation package includes the annual bonus in addition to a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
