Salesforce is looking for a Employee Relations Senior Manager to join a dynamic high-impact Global Employee Relations team. This role will be responsible for conducting sophisticated workplace investigations primarily for the US and Canada. This person will engage with senior management and executives within HR and the business to provide trend analysis, mentorship and influence key partners about making decisions in keeping with things we value. Investigations are often complex, high-risk and sensitive requiring use of common practices and processes to ensure a fair and consistent, values driven approach across the company.

The Employee Relations (ER) COE's core responsibility is to mitigate employment risk to Salesforce while providing a respectful employee experience. The ER team provides support, expertise, education and resources, enabling managers to expand capabilities, and improve employee performance and engagement. Primary areas of expertise: Workplace Investigations; Involuntary Separations; Performance Improvement. As our team scales to align with the growth of the business, this role is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-past Employee Relations team.

Focus Areas & Required Proficiencies:
  • Conduct all investigations including high-risk/high-profile VP + investigations and respond to executive partner concerns
  • Strong technical/ analytical skills with an ability to interpret data to share ER stories
  • Respond to inquiries that require deep subject matter expertise related to Employee Relations. This includes Investigations, policy mentorship, and manager coaching for culture/value violation/issues.
  • Hard-working team player who encourages others, has a sense of humor, is empathetic and passionate about people
  • Combines critical thinking with solid operational execution while focused on details and drives forward with core values, empathy, and inclusivity
  • Monitor risks, spot trends and develop mitigation strategies
  • Participate in the development and delivery of ER-related training and roundtables
  • Excellent communicator and strong influencer - capable of partnering with a diverse community of team members at different levels within and outside of the ER / HR function
  • Demonstrated successful experience in driving large projects forward successfully to completion
  • Ability to analyze problems in areas and processes within a cross-functional organization. Effective in implementing new and improved processes.
  • Effective working in highly matrixed organizations and in a constantly evolving work environment
  • Track record of achieving results in ambiguous situations and under pressure
  • Ability to operate and mentor with empathy and in the "gray" areas
  • Proficient in standard spreadsheet, presentation and collaboration tools
  • Presentation skills - ability to build clear and concise executive summary documents and presentations that highlight status & achievements, drive discussion, summarize project details and promote brand
  • Diligent, process-driven and possess the ability to balance multiple challenging priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle change management and perform well under pressure and can work independently and as a part of a team.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum ten (10) years of broad HR knowledge and experience, with at least 8 years of direct, highly-focused ER experience, including conducting workplace investigations
  • Experience working in a centralized ER model
