As part of VMware's Future of Work initiative, this position can be based remotely, anywhere in the U.S. and Canada.

As a Senior Emerging Talent Manager, you will lead the recruiting function for the AMER and EMEA team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop a team of 30+ outstanding recruiters and managers while partnering closely with our innovative go to market team and business leaders. You will drive recruiting capability and delivery and be a strategic leader for these regions. You will have a keen eye on metrics and trends, influencing through data and insights, and resolving problems that may impede hiring targets. You will also execute on productivity improvements and future development programs and trainings. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Your first order of business will be to meet your established team of recruiting professionals and managers and learn about them, their roles, and the Emerging Talent recruiting programs that they own and manage. You will leverage your previous management expertise to provide strong leadership and support to an exceptional team to further develop their skills and capabilities through coaching, inspiration and encouragement.

You will begin to build collaborative and trusting partnerships with your fellow Emerging Talent leaders across the team. Your natural curiosity will enable you to quickly learn about VMware's multi-cloud and SaaS-centric transformation and will help you build and lead your team to identify and engage top talent across the AMER and EMEA region.

You will be a strategic leader who is able to identify areas of opportunity across our global team. You will ensure a culture of accountability through metrics and continuous improvement while ensuring that we are always hyper-focused on candidate and customer experience. You will set realistic stretch goals for your regions and understand how these fit into the wider Emerging Talent vision.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing?

You enjoy working with different cultures and complexity. You would ideally have deep passion and/or experience managing Early Talent recruitment and/or Early in Career diversity programs. You have interest in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion area/matters.

You will be responsible for executing and strategizingcreative ways to build Intern and New Graduate talent pipelines as well as Early in Career diversity pipelines.This is a continuously evolving role that will require the ability to quickly adapt, and shift priorities based on campus hiring goals and recruitment landscapes.

  • Contribute to and build an innovative strategy that enables differentiated, impactful, and scalable hiring programs across EMEA and AMER based on our growth in those regions
  • Develop, support and performance manage a team of recruiting professionals and managers
  • Identify, attract, develop, and retain exceptional recruiting professionals in a highly competitive marketplace
  • Partner with extended Emerging Talent leadership to build and execute on the roadmap for strategic change
