About This Job

As a Senior Information Technology Recruiter at Commerce Bank, you'll attract top IT talent for one of Forbes' Best Mid-Sized Employers 2022. This role provides top notch service delivery to our internal customers and external candidates to ensure a best in class experience with a specific emphasis on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. You'll be an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team and the larger Talent Management (Human Resources) department. For this position specific experience in recruiting of top-quality Information Technology resources, Senior level individual contributors and management level professionals is required.

The ideal candidate will be eligible for a highly competitive compensation package to include a base salary, annual performance bonus, a full range of Total Rewards and benefits offerings, and a hybrid in-office/work from home schedule.

Essential Functions

  • Proactively attract talent and develop top quality passive candidate pipelines to meet strategic hiring objectives for designated line of business (LOB).
  • Take an intentional approach and focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts as it relates to sourcing, attracting, and hiring top quality employment candidates.
  • Provide expertise and influence on the employment market, labor trends, and innovative recruiting techniques to support best-in-class sourcing and hiring efforts.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, hiring managers and Talent Management Consultants (HR Business Partners) to develop a strong understanding of LOB strategic objectives and how to attract top talent in support of stated goals.
  • Assertively direct TA activities, business processes and procedures to meet service delivery and performance expectations.
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to others in the TA group.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Expert abilities for candidate sourcing techniques/tools and applicant tracking systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of behavioral interviewing techniques and ability to mentor/coach others on best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and factors affecting high level candidates (such as stock, non-solicits, etc.).
  • Identifies solutions for complex offers.
  • Excellent negotiation/sales skills.
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.
  • Professional level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of high-volume recruiting experience with specific focus on senior level professional and leadership roles required.
  • Proven track record of success in sourcing, attracting, and hiring high quality IT, Professional, and Leadership level employment talent.
  • Experience in Financial Services/Banking or related industries preferred.
