About the role:

Skydio is in a period of rapid growth and the People Operations team is foundational to our continued success as we scale. We are looking for a collaborative expert in HR Operations for domestic US and various countries to take ownership of multiple functions of HR while cross-training with team members. 

You are a self-motivated, detail-oriented, bilingual (English/Spanish) human resources aficionado eager to join our small but mighty People team. You will execute a full spectrum of HR deliverables that align with the  businesses’ strategic goals and will work cross functionally with teams across the organization.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Manage HR related programs including but not limited to: Global Immigration, Employee Relations, Non-Exempt Employee Programs & Compliance, and Contingent Workforce processes.
  • Give onsite support to our manufacturing team multiple days/week
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor and employment laws & regulations and other compliance initiatives as needed (examples include OSHA, Health & Safety programs, and HR audits, among others).
  • Provide HR guidance to Skydio employees on HR related policy and procedures from orientation to beyond
  • Advise and recommend resolution for work related conflicts.
  • Contribute to the development of thoughtful HR policies and practices that fairly balance the interests of all team members and are consistent with the culture of the company. 
  • Actively participate in various People Ops Team tasks, processes & initiatives and other special projects, as assigned (HRIS transition, employee engagement projects, etc.).
  • Contribute to ongoing analysis of organizational performance and support initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Cross-train across all roles on People Ops team to ensure breadth & depth of capabilities and continuous team support.
  • Apply knowledge of EMEA and/or APAC employment laws to support global expansion with HR & benefits infrastructure advisement.

What makes you a good fit:

  • At least 5+ years of Employee Experience; 7 preferred,  HR Business Partner, or equivalent experience within a high growth environment
  • 3+ years of relevant experience supporting non-exempt employee populations highly desired
  • Global HR Experience
  • Working knowledge of local, state, federal, and international employment laws and regulations 
  • Familiarity with HR tools and systems - we currently use Zenefits, Gusto, Lattice and Notion - not afraid to leverage technology to simplify and automate processes
  • 2+ years experience with US Immigration processing & compliance; Non-US Immigration processing experience a plus
  • Bilingual language capabilities (English / Spanish)
  • Efficient, thoughtful, and personable communication skills (both written and verbal); including high EQ and ability to interface at all levels of the organization
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with advanced administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and unstructured environments, recognizing when it is appropriate to introduce more structure and process without derailing the current output
  • Deep experience coaching and influencing leaders and employees 
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certifications are a plus
