About the Role: 

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on, well-organized, incredibly proactive, positive Senior HR Generalist for the HR Operations Team who is ready to hit the ground running. You will be responsible for all administrative and transactional HR processes in the assigned region (California, back-up for Texas and Canada)

This will include but is not limited to administrative request, payroll, people operations, benefits, compensation, perks, statutory reporting, administration of performance reviews, maintaining the HRIS, and various other projects. This role is essential to the continued success of the organization. This is a hybrid role - up to 3 days per week required in our office in La Jolla. The position reports to the Global Director of HR Operations based in our European Headquarters in Germany. 

A Day in the Life of Our Senior HR Generalist: 

  • You handle all incoming HR administrative processes such as drafting employment contracts and other documents, managing HR files, HR reports, vacation requests and sick leave authorization and the management of our HRIS
  • You ensure correct salary payments and will improve the management of the benefits partners. Compliance topics like statutory reporting and external payroll and pension audits are also part of your responsibility
  • You handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for handling all processes in operational HR management along the entire employee life cycle, thus ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • You work closely with the HR Business partners to improve the support for the team based in the Americas. 
  • You are involved in international HR projects to develop the organization
  • Emotional Intelligence and we take pride in hiring high-EQ human resources professionals to influence company culture, objectives, and growth 

Who We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience in an international environment. 
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related subjects or comparable.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with proven experience in matters related to payroll, data administration and labor law.
  • Experienced in working in a clear operating model and efficient processes. Organized and structured way of working, hands-on problem solver, excellent attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience with global HRIS tools would be beneficial, preferable UKG PRO

The salary range for this role is {$90,000-$95,000). Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
