Senior Director, Talent Acquisition - Centralized Talent
Job purpose
The Head of Recruiting leads all recruitment activities across diverse Cox of businesses. Responsible for the creation of business specific recruiting strategies that target the attraction, engagement, and conversion of candidates to hire. Oversee the effectiveness of our diversity practices to ensure competitive advantage. Ensure the operational excellence of services to our business leaders and hiring managers.
This leader will influence at the C-suite level to align, design, and implement recruiting strategies and programs to attract and retain top talent in alignment with business objectives.
Duties and responsibilities
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the recruitment function across a diverse portfolio of Cox businesses
- Ensure consistent and effective delivery of talent acquisition services to support business growth and objectives
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies and programs to attract and retain top talent, in alignment with business objectives. Partner with Sourcing and Strategy & Operations leaders to ensure alignment of approach and resources
- Partner with other CTA leaders to leverage strategies that can be scaled
- Aggregate performance metrics, workforce trends, diversity data, etc to analyze and create insights that provide an opportunity to consult and can influence business leaders on hiring success
- Build strong partnerships with senior business leaders and stakeholders to understand their talent needs and provide expert advice and guidance on best practices in recruitment
- Collaborate on the creation and measurement of KPIs that drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes and practices
- Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment vendors, agencies, and search firms to ensure effective delivery of recruitment services and access to diverse talent pools
- Develop and lead a team of leaders and recruiters to ensure they are aligned to the CTA vision in the WHAT we do and HOW we do it
- Partner with compliance to ensure all practices are within current legislation and regulation
CTA Leader Responsibilities:
- Understand the intersection of prevailing business needs and labor/market conditions
- Drive brand strategies and oversee events that support attraction plans
- Engages with senior business leaders and finance partners to understand future talent needs and translate strategy into actions
- Balance the efficiency of a centralized model with the unique needs of Cox businesses. Inspire the creation of business specific and scalable tactics that make us competitive to talent
- Define and govern the KPIs that will measure the value of the team. Sponsor the creation of dashboards to story tell and measure performance
- Partner to create practices that optimize tech tools and ensure effective talent identification
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- BA/BS degree with 12+ years of relevant experience including talent acquisition with proven collaborative successes or equivalent combination of education and experience (MS + 10 years of experience or Ph.D. + 7 years of experience or 16 years of experience with no degree)
- 7+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Strong curiosity and research skills to keep abreast of developing trends in recruiting and workforce dynamics
- Strong executive presence; ability to partner closely with Divisional leadership at multiple levels
- Excellent leadership and partnering skills required (partnering and leading peers and colleagues with no formal authority, influence without authority)
- Possesses the ability to draw insights using data and to make meaningful business recommendations
- Strong consultative skills and ability to make persuasive recommendations based on business rationale
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate strategy into action
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive innovation as well as operational excellence
- Experience developing and managing recruitment budgets
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to recruitment
- Ability to adapt to changing assignments, multiple and conflicting priorities
