The Senior Compensation Manager will leverage their abilities and experience to manage compensation programs with a focus on long-term incentives along with ongoing compensation projects. The Senior Compensation Manager will be part of the Human Capital department, reporting to the Director of Total Rewards and HR Operations, with close engagement with the Finance and Legal teams.
Responsibilities:
Own the management and execution of multiple long term incentive programs, including reporting and analytics, tracking, data management, statement and award agreement creation and distribution.
Work with Director of Total Rewards, Head of Human Capital, and senior business leadership on program design. Evaluate programs to define eligibility and targets. Partner closely with Finance on tracking of incentive programs and with Legal on program terms and documentation. Develop a strong understanding of plan workings and respond to employee questions
Deeply understand the business to provide guidance and insights aligned with organizational goals
Track/navigate LTI for former employees
Work with Finance on tracking of earnings and managing accruals, to keep real-time estimates/projections of values for bonus programs
Develop and lead communication and marketing efforts for compensation programs to increase understanding across the organization
Advise business leaders in structure, execution, and maintenance of new incentive programs that drive desired results
Partner with Senior Compensation and Data Analyst to ensure practices align with compensation and retention philosophy
Partner closely with Talent Acquisition team and HR Business Partners to provide data-based recommendations and support the needs of the organization
Interface with business and Talent Acquisitions to understand hiring and retention challenges and proactively address changes in the market. Present data-driven competitive offer packages
Ensure our HRIS system is optimized for our compensation structures. Work in close partnership with the HRIS Manager to configure and test the mid-year and year-end compensation processes in Workday
Play an active role in year-end compensation planning process
Stay current on and share trends and important legislative changes related to the Company’s compensation programs and policies
Mentor other team members within Compensation and across The Human Capital team
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or related field
7+ years of Compensation and/or Finance experience, financial services industry preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CECP) designation preferred
Strong executive presence with ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to drive insights and decisions
Superior analytical skills and ability to present data to communicate insights and drive decisions
Detailed content knowledge of compensation trends and long-term incentive programs, carry, and equity structures strongly preferred
Knowledgeable on tax treatment and considerations of various long term incentive structures
Mindset focused on agility and continuous improvement
Ability to assess processes and make recommendations for improvement
Ability to work cross-functionally to drive projects including business leaders, key stakeholders across Human Capital team, Accounting, Finance, Legal
Exceptional project management skills
Extraordinary aptitude in Excel, PowerPoint and preferred experience in Workday
Experience and ability to manage multiple projects in an organized manner
Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Role is partially remote, with a preference for Austin, TX.
