  • Help conduct new hire check-ins and stay interviews
  • Maintain files in our applicant tracking system to ensure data integrity and documentation of team member changes
  • Assist the talent acquisition manager with conducting research and data analysis on talent acquisition topics, functions, and programs, as well as recommend possible actions and improvements
  • Explore and identify sourcing techniques to actively source candidates for open requisitions
  • Maximize social media opportunities by networking and proactively engaging active and passive talent to build and strengthen the candidate pipeline
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures
  • Perform any other duties assigned by team leader

About Your Team Leader

Your team leader, Lindsey Bombard, is Mercy For Animals’ interim director of people operations for the United States and Canada. Her permanent job title is senior talent development manager, U.S. and Canada. Lindsey loves human resources and the people-operations team, which she has been part of since she came to Mercy For Animals in July 2018. She wants you to know that the recruiting specialist will join a talented, warm, dedicated, smart, funny, and fun group! When Lindsey isn’t working, she’s exploring New England; learning German; and spending time with her family, including her sidekick-boss and companion dog of 12 years, Brody.

Compensation and Benefits

Earn an annual salary of around $46,000–$51,500 (paid hourly), depending on qualifications. In addition to a collaborative and innovative work environment, you will be able to take part in our benefits package, including no- or low-cost health, vision, and dental insurance; generous paid time off and sick leave; and 401(k) retirement plan, with a dollar-to-dollar employer match of up to 3 percent of your annual earnings.

Application Details

We consider traditional and nontraditional qualifications and carefully review each application, resume, and cover letter. Feel encouraged to go outside a traditional cover letter and state how you would add to our culture; what we would gain from having you on our team; and how you align with our organizational vision, mission, and values.
